Sophia’s Story

Sophia grew up in Brockport, NY, spending much of her childhood playing sports. As her friends and family know, she is well known for her competitive attitude. After graduating from high school, she studied at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia to become a physician assistant. Since then, Sophia has worked in labor and delivery in Rochester, NY, and general surgery in Rhode Island.

Now, Sophia is a vascular surgery physician assistant in Syracuse, NY, where she also shares her knowledge as a clinical professor for physician assistant students. When she's not in the operating room or the classroom, you can find her hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and her beloved dog, Bentley.

Nick’s Story

Nicholas grew up in Miller Place, Long Island, with his parents and siblings. During his childhood on Long Island, he developed a competitive passion for sports. After completing his high school education at Miller Place High School, Nicholas pursued a college education at Loyola University. His journey in the field of podiatry began at Temple University.

Now, he practices at Syracuse Podiatry, treating patients alongside his favorite dog, Bentley. An avid music lover, Nicholas holds a special place in his heart for the sounds of the Grateful Dead. Outside the clinic, you’ll find him jamming to the Grateful Dead, cheering for his favorite football teams, the Giants and Bills, savoring chicken wings, and exploring the great outdoors through hiking and travel adventures with Bentley.

Bentley’s Story

My name is Bentley. I grew up on a farm in Ohio, and my paw-ents adopted me, so now I live in Syracuse, New York. I (barely) graduated from K-9 doggy school. Now, I work at a paw-diatry office and see patients with my dad. I love chicken, cheese, and ice cream. I’m a track star who loves to run—I’m very fast and love to be chased. My paw-ents are getting married, and I’m very excited! 🐾

Our Story

It all began in Philadelphia, where Nicholas asked Sophia on a sushi date—and the rest is history. Sophia’s go-getter attitude and vibrant energy captivated Nicholas, while she was drawn to his positivity and kindness. They spent hours discussing medicine, the outdoors, and their dreams, forming a deep bond.

As their relationship grew, they navigated years of long distance, always finding ways to stay close. Through challenges, their commitment only strengthened. Nicholas’s unwavering support fueled Sophia’s medical career, while her belief in his surgical passion kept him motivated.

On a sunny morning in Treasure Island, Florida, Nicholas asked Sophia to be his partner for life, and with tears of joy, she said, “Yes.” Surrounded by loved ones, they are filled with gratitude for their journey together. Here’s to love, friendship, and a lifetime of happiness. Thank you for being part of their beautiful story!
